This Tuesday, I was working as a second shooter (video & photo) with my another photography team (picture this.) for this very adorable couple’s engagement photo, oh and the cutest little Daisy.
They laugh loudly, love truly, kiss slowly.. …ahhh, another awesome evening. :)
I was having a big smile during their entire session. Kayla was the giggliest girl I had ever met…(oh also love chewing flowers, you’ll see what I mean). They’re such a warm, relaxed, loving, caring family! This has to be one of my most memorable lifestyle family photo sessions this year, loved it. I absolutely LOVED it!
And I need to share this, one of my personal fav I caught – When we first set up Max and Kayla for a photo shoot, Max was very nervous, not because of camera shy….she GRAB him anytime, everywhere. oh poor Max. LOL
I have to say, Lantern is one of must-have decoration list on my wedding. But too bad my wedding venues doesn’t allow me to hang anything from the ceiling. (sigh) So I never have a chance/place to decor with it.
Finally! There is a chance! I’m going to have lantern as photography prop for one of coming session. Oh it’s ganna be awesome! However the original lantern looks a little flat on a picture, I decided to make it more catchy and dramatic!
What you need:
Color Lantern | Tissue Paper | Scissors | Tape
How to make: (from left to right)
- Prepared the things you need.
- Cut 6-8 strips of tissue paper, 1.5-2 inches wide.
- Cut the fringe on one side, about 0.25-0.50 inch.
- Insert the wire from to open your lantern. Wrapping from the bottom of lantern, work your way around it in a spiral, adding tape or more strips as needed.
- The fluffy lantern is so ready for a photo shoot.

By the way, would like to share last year of Mother’s Day picture, it created by 2 months old Mason’s feet. The most beautiful “flower” I’ve ever received.
It’s perfect to wear no sucks, shiny-blue shorts and showing off your little chubby legs around. Ahh, too adorable.
